As a Software Engineer, you will design and operate Snap's scalable services, including user identity and core persistence layers. Your role involves collaboration across teams to gather product requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. You will also advocate best practices for operational excellence and system availability as part of your daily responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable backend services • Collaborate to define product requirements effectively • Test and debug your implemented features thoroughly • Advocate for best practices in service availability • Monitor operational aspects and resolve incidents
Requirements: • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience • Proficient in Java, C++, or Python programming • Background in backend services or distributed systems • Experience with NoSQL, Kubernetes, or cloud services • Proven track record of managing available systems at scale
