Montreal, Quebec, Canada Valsoft Corporation Full-time

ValPay builds embedded payments for software companies. Our PayFac-as-a-Service model lets ISVs offer payments to their merchants under their own brand, while we handle underwriting, compliance, and risk. Our partners serve healthcare, legal, hospitality, professional services, and other vertical markets.

Launching a payments product is the easy part. The value is created when ISV partners go live, their merchants enroll, and transactions flow. We’re hiring a product marketing Lead whose success is measured by adoption: how quickly and how deeply partners and merchants use our products.

You’ll own positioning, launches, and lifecycle marketing across our vertical markets and across North America, Europe, and APAC. You’ll report to the CEO and work closely with product, sales, partnerships, the ISV channel team, and operations.

AI should be part of how you work. Use it to research, draft, analyze, and automate. You’re responsible for the quality of the result.

What we value

  • Sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Measuring success by what customers do, not by what we shipped.
  • Taking responsibility and finishing work without being chased.
  • Understanding how the business makes money and caring about results.
  • The honesty to say when something isn’t working, including your own work.

What you’ll do

  • Drive partner and merchant adoption: You’ll own the adoption journey end to end: signature, integration, go-live, first transaction, merchant enrollment, and expansion. The hardest gap is between “integrated” and “actively transacting,” and you’ll be the person who finds out where partners and merchants stall and designs programs to close it. That means lifecycle campaigns, onboarding content, and activation playbooks for two audiences at once: the ISV partner and the merchants who use their software. With the ISV channel team, you’ll run co‑marketing and merchant‑enrollment campaigns that lift penetration within each partner’s customer base.
  • Measure adoption and act on it: You’ll build and maintain the adoption dashboard: activation rate, time to first transaction, attach and penetration rate, volume per merchant, feature adoption, and cohort retention. You’ll use that data to segment partners and merchants, flag at‑risk accounts, and surface expansion opportunities, then take what you find to the teams who can act on it.
  • Own positioning and messaging: You’ll develop the positioning, value propositions, and messaging for each product and vertical, and for new verticals and markets as we enter them. A central part of this is explaining clearly how our embedded payments offering differs from horizontal PayFacs, processors, and ISOs. You’ll translate technical capabilities into the outcomes ISVs and merchants care about: revenue share, retention, cleaner reconciliation, and faster onboarding.
  • Run launches built around activation: You’ll lead launch plans for new products, features, verticals, and regions. Every launch gets adoption targets and a 30/60/90‑day activation plan, not only awareness goals. You’ll also make sure what we’re building is communicated publicly, online and through partners. You’ll adapt messaging to regional regulatory and market conditions, and work with product, finance, risk, and support so that each launch is commercially and operationally ready before it goes out.
  • Equip sales, partnerships, and support: You’ll create the sales playbooks, pitch decks, battlecards, case studies, ROI calculators, and objection‑handling guides that sales and partnership teams use, and equip support to explain the products as well. You’ll train teams to sell for activation, not just signature. You’ll run win/loss and churn analysis and feed what you learn back into positioning and the product.
  • Represent the market inside the company: You’ll track competitors, pricing, interchange, and regulatory developments, and be the voice of the market and of adoption data in product planning. When acquisitions or product consolidations happen, you’ll support portfolio and integration messaging.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 3 years of experience in product marketing at a B2B software, fintech, or payments company.
  • A track record of running launches and measuring them on adoption or usage, not only on awareness.
  • Experience marketing to two audiences at once, such as partners and their customers, or platforms and their users.
  • Working knowledge of how card payments work, or the ability to learn it quickly and explain it accurately.
  • Comfort with data. You can define a metric, build or spec a dashboard, and draw a conclusion from it.
  • Strong writing. You can turn a technical capability into a clear business case for a software company or a small‑business owner.
  • Experience building sales enablement that teams actually used.
