12-month assignment in Montreal with the capital markets technology team of a major Canadian bank: design, front-end, back-end, APIs. Hybrid, 2 days on site.
Abbeal is hiring a Full Stack Developer to join the capital markets technology team of a major Canadian bank in Montreal. 12-month assignment.
Context
Capital markets applications run under heavy constraints: volumes, reliability, regulatory requirements. The team is looking for someone who can own the whole chain, from application design to production.
The role
- Contribute to application design and architecture
- Build the front-end and back-end of the applications
- Design and expose APIs and services
- Write and optimise SQL queries
- Ship continuously with Git and a CI/CD pipeline
- Work in an agile team with business stakeholders and other developers
What we are looking for
- Solid experience in full stack development, front-end and back-end
- Hands-on application and API design
- Strong SQL
- Used to Git, CI/CD and agile methods
- Nice to have: banking or financial markets experience
- Fluent French and English (required)

- Open to freelancers or as a permanent Abbeal employee
- Montreal, hybrid: 2 days a week in the office
- 12-month assignment
