Architect full-stack software at BuildOps using React.js, Node.js, GraphQL, and REST APIs within a hybrid Monday and Friday work-from-home schedule.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will build and optimize BuildOps’s platform for commercial contractors. The work spans scalable frontend architecture, backend services, database performance, and technical leadership. You will mentor engineers, influence standards, and deliver reliable software across a distributed team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain React.js frontend applications
- Build Node.js, GraphQL, and REST backend services
- Optimize APIs, databases, queries, and application performance
- Define testing strategies with Jest and React Testing Library
- Mentor engineers and lead cross-team technical initiatives
Requirements:
- Eight or more years in software engineering
- Modern JavaScript or TypeScript full-stack development experience
- Expertise in React.js and scalable frontend architectures
- Node.js, GraphQL, REST, and SQL proficiency
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in a related field
Lead full-stack architecture, performance, testing, and engineering mentorship while building BuildOps software for commercial contractors.
