Design scalable backend services with Python, Go, and Kubernetes for Achievers’ Data Intelligence team in a hybrid Toronto setting. Build actionable insights from SaaS data.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will support reporting, analytics, exports, and data-driven product features. You will work with GCP, APIs, cloud data warehousing, and distributed systems. The work is backend software engineering, not data engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain backend services for analytics and reporting
- Build APIs integrating Looker, Tableau, and Power BI
- Apply data modeling and transformation techniques
- Participate in architecture planning and technical design discussions
- Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance
Requirements:
- Five or more years of backend software engineering experience
- Expertise designing distributed systems at scale
- Proficiency with Python, PHP, or Go
- Experience with GCP, AWS, Azure, or BigQuery
- Knowledge of privacy, security, and governance practices
