In this hands-on position, you will lead the design, governance, and standardization of geological data across Kinross’s sites. You will ensure database standards are met and manage a team of database professionals. The role emphasizes collaboration with exploration management and necessitates a deep understanding of database principles and best practices.
Key Responsibilities: • Standardize geological database platforms across all sites • Lead selection and management of database software • Implement QA/QC protocols according to internal standards • Define security controls for data access and backups • Conduct audits and reviews of database quality
Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or related field • 10+ years in mineral exploration or mining geology • Senior role experience in database management • Familiarity with industry-standard geological platforms • Strong leadership and communication skills
