Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and plan meetings/sessions with elders
- Maintain personal timesheets/vacation/sick days.
- Facilitate and supervise cultural activities under the guidance of the TCP coordinator, executive director and elder.
- Ensure the proper care and safety of the children.
- De‑escalate situations and mediate during conflicts with families.
- Respond to the emotional needs of families in crisis.
- Document daily interactions.
- Ensure a safe and secure environment by following policies and procedures.
- Provide transportation as needed.
- Maintain a high standard of health and safety procedures.
- Administration and Reporting: The TCP Family Service Consultant will report accurate and necessary information to ensure proper reporting and processes, these include:
- Document incidents.
- Daily shift documentation and overview.
- Keep an accurate logbook of activities.
- Attend staff meetings when required.
- Other duties as may be required from time to time as directed by management.
- Effective Communication.
- Ensure that confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Manage own workload and prioritize work.
- Work unsupervised, recognizing one's own limitations and professional boundaries and seek appropriate assistance when needed.
- Ability to work untraditional hours, may include statutory holidays.
