With a global presence spanning Asia Pacific, Southeast Asia, Europe and now Canada, our partner companies design and manufacture advanced equipment for the Back-End-Of-Line (BEOL) semiconductor industry, including inspection and metrology equipment.

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead UI Developer to take ownership of the primary Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for our automated visual inspection platforms in Back-End-of-Line (BEOL) semiconductor manufacturing . In this role, you will bridge high-performance hardware and C++ control backends with a modern, low-latency WebUI.

You will build and drive the operator interface used to configure complex inspection routines, monitor real-time defect statistics, render live 12/16-bit high-resolution imagery, and analyze metrology data. Additionally, you will create precise control mechanisms for manipulating multi-axis XYZ motion stages and interferometry sensors in digital microscopy and production environments.

What You’ll Do

• Architect the UI Layer: Own the front-end architecture for real-time inspection instruments, bridging Web UIs with high-performance C++ backend controllers via WebSockets and REST APIs.
• High-Performance Visualization: Build dynamic 2D/3D overlays (WebGL / deck.gl) for real-time defect maps, measurement tools, telemetry and sub-micron metrology data.
• Real-Time Dashboarding : Process streaming telemetry and display inspection results, statistics and progress in real time.
• Setup Wizards : Implement interactive wizards for system configuration and inspection recipe setups.
• Image Rendering: In a browser, render 12 bit grayscale images straight from the sensor with histogram and levels tools and 32 bit height maps using Pseudocolor.
• Global Collaboration: Work closely with C++ backend teams and overseas partners, maintaining robust localization workflows (English / Simplified Chinese).
• Set Technical Standards: Lead front-end testing, continuous integration, design system tokens, and strict type-safety standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Senior UI/Frontend Engineering: Deep TypeScript expertise (strict mode) and strong mental models around reactive state management (SolidJS, React, Vue, or Svelte).
• Browser Binary Processing : Experience working with high-frequency WebSocket streams, and raw binary streams (ArrayBuffer, DataView, TypedArray, etc).
• System Design & Accessibility: Experience building modular UI systems using Panda CSS tokens, recipes and headless component libraries (e.g., Ark UI, Radix).
• Testing Discipline: Habitual approach to testing asynchronous state, streaming data, and edge cases. Unit and component tests in Vitest, end-to-end coverage in Playwright.

Nice to Have

• Experience with WebGL/Canvas rendering (deck.gl, Three.js) or raster image processing (12-bit/16-bit, dynamic range, histograms, etc).
• Exposure to contract-first API generation (OpenAPI/Orval) and C++ backend integration.
• Background in SCADA, robotics, medical devices, machine vision, or semiconductor metrology.
