We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada’s involvement in the Olympic Movement, including the participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games.
Reporting to the Director, Games Operations, the Manager, Games will oversee the planning and implementation of PanAm Games, junior PanAm Games, and summer Youth Olympic Games and contribute to the execution of other Games. This position will concentrate on the delivery of a world-class performance environment for athletes, coaches, and support teams at the Games. This position will work collaboratively with the Project Management Team and Functional Area Leads. While not overseeing the planning and implementation for the immediate Games, the Manager, Games, will support, consult, and lead specific projects related to other Games within the Games plan.

This position will be located in Montreal, QC, at 500 René-Lévesque Boulevard West.

Games Planning and Operations Leadership
Serve as the designated Games Lead for assigned Games, providing overall operational leadership and coordination throughout the Games planning and delivery lifecycle. Act as the subject matter expert on the Games environment, operational landscape and Games-specific strategy for assigned Games. For assigned Games, collaborate with the Project Management Team to develop, implement and communicate the COC Games Framework to createworld-class performanceenvironments in the lead-up to and during Games. Serve as the primary day-to-day liaison and official point of contact with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for assigned Games Establish and foster relationships with the internal functional areas, local Organizing Committee (LOC) NOC Relations departments, external contractors and local service providers in line with our best-in-class NOC objective Ensure key sport stakeholders are informed of Games plans, developments, decisions and operational impacts, including NSOs, Functional Area Leads, Mission Team members and Team Canada participants. Working in collaboration with Own the Podium’s High-Performance Advisers, understand the needs of National Sport Organizations (NSO) Games plans within the overall Team Canada Games strategy by identifying, addressing and resolving Games-specific performance and operational issues. Manage elements of the Games budget for upcoming and existing Games Liaise with all Functional Areas to develop cross-collaborative plans that support key Games deliverables within each business area and across all operational venues. Support and guide Functional Area Leads through all phases of the Games Framework, including strategy, planning, implementation, issue resolution, debriefing and Games closure activities. Support with the Olympic Village allocation for the Athlete Village and associated interactions with FA Leads and LOC contacts Advise as needed in functional area’s early project development and roll‑out insight to staff throughout the project delivery (in consultation with the Manager, Sport Strategy Performance Integration) In conjunction with the Senior Director, Games provide leadership for the debriefing and evaluation process of Games planning and execution Ensure continual improvement by applying key learnings throughout all phases and elements of game operations Contribute and foster a high-performing team environment Support with hiring process for Games Team staff, both permanent and temporary QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS
Education and Experience
University Degree or College Diploma, preferably in sport management 5-7 years in national sport community and proven multi-sport Games experience Minimum of 2 years of people management experience Skills and Abilities
Strong knowledge of the Canadian and international sport systems, including Olympic, Youth Olympic and Pan American Games environments. Proven ability to lead complex Games projects and translate strategic objectives into operational plans and successful execution. Demonstrated sound judgment, adaptability and resilience, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively in high-pressure environments. Experience with a Games organizing committee is an asset Games Leadership & Operational Excellence
