This hands-on role requires collaboration with engineering and product leadership across GitLab. You'll lead security architecture for key initiatives and act as Security Owner, prioritizing risks within the Product Security Risk Register. Your expertise in application security and distributed systems will shape security standards and drive autonomous engineering execution.
Key Responsibilities: • Partner with engineering teams to anticipate security issues • Lead security architecture for strategic product initiatives • Assess and prioritize systemic security risks • Codify security decisions into reusable patterns • Build prototypes to facilitate engineering solutions
Requirements: • Depth in application security architecture • Experience with distributed systems security • Knowledge of software supply chain security • Proven proactive risk identification skills • Ability to influence technical direction
