What will your typical day look like? As our ideal candidate, you will combine deep GCP technical expertise with client-facing consulting skills. On a typical engagement you will:

Design and deliver GCP landing zones — organization, folder, and project hierarchies; IAM; VPC-SC service perimeters; Shared VPC and hybrid connectivity; logging and monitoring backbone.

Architect containerized platforms on GKE (and GKE Enterprise where the client needs hybrid or multi-cluster); design networking, service mesh, and workload identity patterns.

Lead migrations from on-prem and other clouds — lift-and-shift on Compute Engine and GCVE, replatform to GKE and Cloud Run, refactor to managed services — with clear cost, risk, and cutover plans.

Establish the security posture: CIS benchmarks, Security Command Center, Binary Authorization, secret management, key management (CMEK/HSM), org policies, and compliance evidence for the client's control framework.

Automate everything as code with Terraform (and Config Controller / Config Sync where appropriate); build CI/CD pipelines on Cloud Build or GitHub Actions; drive FinOps practices with dashboards and budget guardrails.

Lead 2–4 engineers on the delivery team and mentor client platform teams for long-term self-sufficiency.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you This is a Senior Consultant role: 7–10 years of total experience with 4–6 years hands‑on on Google Cloud (or equivalent cloud with a credible GCP transition path). You will lead workstreams and mentor 2–4 junior team members while working under the direction of a Manager or Senior Manager.

Qualifications

7–10 years total technology experience; 4–6 years hands‑on on Google Cloud (or credible transition from AWS/Azure).

Deep experience with GCP core services: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, VPC and hybrid networking (Cloud Interconnect, VPN, Cloud NAT), Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud DNS, Cloud Armor.

patterns for agent runtimes, egress controls, and cost guardrails for GenAI consumption.

Strong security background: IAM design, VPC Service Controls, org policies, Security Command Center, Binary Authorization, KMS/CMEK, secret management.

Fluency with Infrastructure as Code — Terraform is required; familiarity with Config Controller, Config Sync, or Crossplane is a plus.

Container and orchestration depth: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm; service mesh (Istio / Anthos Service Mesh) and workload identity.
