As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be integral to the Data and Storage Services team, steering the technical direction of systems handling financial transactions. You will leverage over eight years of experience in backend system development, particularly in Python or Kotlin, to implement strategies that enhance performance and reliability across various database systems. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, your insights will drive impactful changes.
Key Responsibilities: • Define and implement the database technical strategy • Create scalable, high-performance data solutions • Oversee automation and control planes for databases • Collaborate in the product lifecycle to assess database needs • Establish quality and code review standards for team initiatives
Requirements: • 8+ years designing and launching high-scale backend systems • Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud technologies • 5+ years managing and optimizing relational and distributed databases • Proven ability to lead teams and foster talent development • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
