Join Arista Networks' innovative team dedicated to advancing data-driven client-to-cloud networking. As a key member of the Packet Forwarding Engines and System software team, your responsibilities will encompass writing functional specifications, implementing testing frameworks, and troubleshooting networking problems in complex environments. Your software will play a pivotal role in our proprietary Extensible Operating System (EOS).
Key Responsibilities: • Write functional and design specifications for software features • Implement solutions to packet forwarding engine software issues • Create and execute automated test plans for software features • Debug automated test problems and develop fixes • Collaborate with hardware teams to validate new systems
Requirements: • 8+ years engineering experience in C or C++ • Proficient in UNIX or Linux environments • Strong understanding of IP networking • Knowledge of software engineering principles • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
