WHAT YOU’LL DO:Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources the HR Systems Consultant provides strategic advice and guidance to HR Manager, Systems Analyst and Systems specialists acting as a subject matter expert. The Consultant is a key member of the HR team and is the technical expert and system administrator for the organizations HR systems including but not limited to: Time & Attendance (UKG Dimensions), Emergency and Scheduling Call-Out System (Vocantas), Volunteer Management System (volgistics), Occupational Health and Safety (Parklane), HR HelpDesk (ServiceDesk Plus).
This role will be responsible for generating HR/Scheduling-related reports, supporting the go-live of our UKG system, managing system upgrades, and maintaining data integrity. Working alongside Finance and IT, the incumbent contributes to system planning and strategy while facilitating continual improvements to support organizational and HR objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Operations/ Logistics, or an equivalent combination of education and work experienceWHO YOU ARE:5 years of experience working closely with enterprise-wide systems with a strong focus on customer service, technology enhancement, communication, problem solving and decision makingStrong knowledge of best practices (applicant tracking, talent management, reporting, benefits administration, advanced scheduling, etc.) in a complex workforce management industry (logistics, manufacturing, or healthcare)Previous experience implementing HR and complex scheduling technology solutions developing business requirements, deploying applicable technologies and business process re-engineeringAdvanced knowledge of MS Suite including: Excel, Word and PowerPoint requiredDemonstrated understanding of HR and or scheduling processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementationDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders to support the business and maintain IT systemsPrevious exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projectsStrong technical skills and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent organizational skills and ability to reprioritize tasksDemonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks often dealing and resolving difficult issuesProject management experience leading HR systems as well as general HR projects2
