Lead emergency preparedness at the Department of Emergency Management with a role focusing on training and exercise coordination. This position is pivotal for enhancing community resilience across Nova Scotia.
As the Manager of Training and Exercising Coordination reporting to the Director, you will strategically plan and coordinate training initiatives for various partners. You'll develop strong partnerships and ensure high-quality education programs. Your work directly contributes to effective emergency response and community safety.
Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate internal and external training initiatives • Build relationships with partners and stakeholders • Plan major training events, including logistics • Identify and mitigate risks before training delivery • Maintain public training calendars for awareness
Requirements: • University degree and several years in coordination • Experience in program development and implementation • Valid Nova Scotia driver's license is required • Strong relationship management skills • Familiarity with learner management systems
