Shape software development strategy for Seequent’s Geoscience teams, using engineering roadmaps, security practices, and cross-functional leadership from a hybrid local office.
As Manager, Software Development, you will report to the Director, Software Development, Geoscience. You will turn strategic objectives into actionable plans while balancing innovation, technical debt, and business continuity. Your work connects product, architecture, infrastructure, security, application, design, and development-centre stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop roadmaps balancing innovation, technical debt, and continuity
- Monitor resourcing, capability, and critical people dependencies
- Contribute to engineering strategy, investment, scalability, and direction
- Coordinate escalated technical support responses when required
- Manage vendor, contractor, contract, and milestone relationships
Requirements:
- Ten or more years of demonstrated software engineering experience
- Three or more years of direct or indirect team leadership
- Ability to translate functional strategies into actionable plans
- Logical analysis skills for moderately complex challenges
- Practical knowledge of organisational practices and policies
