Build cloud video surveillance software in Ottawa with Fortinet, applying C/C++, Linux, networking, and artificial intelligence model experience. This role supports full-cycle development.
Fortinet seeks a Senior or Intermediate Cloud Software Developer for Video Surveillance solutions. You will participate throughout software and product development, using C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, TCP/IP networking, and multithreaded programming. The position suits developers who value learning new technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle
- Contribute to video surveillance product development
- Develop using cloud software technologies and programming languages
- Apply image and video artificial intelligence models
- Support software problem solving and troubleshooting
Requirements:
- Five or more years developing software in Unix/Linux environments
- Experience with IP cameras and streaming protocols
- Experience with IP camera systems on chip
- Knowledge of C/C++, Java, Python, or Perl
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
