Lead backend strategy for Splunk Enterprise Security, using Python or Go across cloud and on-premises deployments. Shape scalable, secure platforms.
This senior engineering role guides multiple teams and backend product areas. You will develop distributed systems, databases, and data-processing workflows while partnering with Product Management, Architects, UX, multidisciplinary teams, and customers. Your work supports security monitoring, threat detection, compliance, and incident investigations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical strategy and execution across backend product areas
- Own roadmaps and architectural integrity for backend services
- Improve documentation, testing, observability, and CI/CD practices
- Resolve complex production issues with customers and cross-functional teams
- Mentor engineers and lead design and architecture reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years, or master’s with 4+ years
- Distributed systems, database, or query optimization development experience
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Python or Go programming experience
- AI tool experience, including Claude or Codex
