Responsibilities include advising on complex legal issues, managing litigation, and ensuring compliance with securities regulations. The position plays a key role in corporate governance and commercial transactions for the company. Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on complex legal matters and procurement agreements
- Manage litigation and regulatory risk assessments
- Support continuous disclosure and financial reporting requirements
- Assist in corporate/commercial negotiations and transactions
- Act as key legal advisor for Haile Gold Mine operations
- Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience
- Juris Doctorate or LL.B. from a reputable institution
- Active member of a Canadian law society
- Valid working rights in Canada required
- Experience in both law firm and in-house settings preferred
