Become the Manager of Procurement at CANARIE, where you will lead vital procurement initiatives that shape our operations. This full-time term role, until December 2027, is designed for maternity leave coverage. You will be responsible for managing procurement activities and ensuring practices align with organizational policies. Collaborating with teams nationwide, you'll contribute to procuring critical goods and services and fostering strong vendor relationships. Your strategic vision will enhance CANARIE's procurement efficiency and transparency. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement from planning to contract award
- Procure essential goods and technical services
- Prepare comprehensive RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs
- Oversee vendor negotiations and relationship management
- Develop robust procurement metrics and reports
- At least 7 years of progressive procurement experience
- College diploma or university degree in a relevant field
- SCMP designation is a plus
- Experience with technology vendors preferred
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
