Drive water management initiatives at Highland Valley Copper in Logan Lake, BC as Chief Engineer. This role emphasizes safety leadership and effective water resource planning.
At Teck, you will spearhead the water planning function, reporting to the Integrated Planning & Production Superintendent. You are expected to deliver both fieldwork and strategic oversight in a collaborative environment. The position demands excellence in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of water management strategies
• Ensure technical oversight and QA/QC for all water projects
• Conduct regular field visits to promote safety culture
• Mentor the existing water planning staff
• Engage in CAPEX and OPEX planning efforts
Requirements:
• Degree in water resources or a related engineering field
• Over 10 years of water management experience
• Eligible to register as P. Eng. with EGBC
• Strong background in water modelling and infrastructure design
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Apply your engineering talents and leadership capabilities to manage water resources at Teck's Highland Valley Copper operation.
