As a Surgical Assistant at LASIK MD, an affiliated entity of Vision Group, you help prepare operating rooms and reassure patients. The permanent full-time position averages approximately 35 hours weekly, based on operational needs. Your work includes explaining eye-drop schedules, supporting technical roles, and reporting patient safety concerns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sterilize instruments and prepare tools as needed
- Reassure patients before and after procedures
- Explain postoperative eye-drop schedules clearly
- Coordinate patient flow through the operating room
- Report safety concerns, incidents, and potential risks
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills in English and French
- Comfort with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365
- Ability to build trust with patients
- Interest in healthcare and helping others
- Flexible weekday and occasional Saturday availability
