Build cloud-native database systems at Salesforce using distributed systems expertise and strong software engineering skills in a hybrid team.
As a Core Database Internals Engineer, you will architect, develop, and test next-generation database technology. The work focuses on complex, highly concurrent, scalable, and resilient systems supporting Salesforce growth. You will own services from architecture through customer support.
Key Responsibilities
Design core distributed database system functionality Develop architectures addressing complex scalability problems Improve system robustness and performance Implement functional and system tests Debug defects and conduct root cause analysis
Requirements:
Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience Six-plus years in systems or database internals programming Six-plus years designing and supporting large-scale systems Deep distributed computing expertise Strong Java or C programming skills Apply distributed computing, systems programming, and database internals expertise to highly scalable Salesforce products and services.
