Red Seal mechanics repair fleet vehicles at Waste Control Service in Coquitlam, focusing on hydraulics, air brakes, and diesel systems. Safety guides daily work. As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you perform repairs and preventative maintenance across WCS fleet vehicles. Your work includes inspections, diagnosis, electronic diagnostics, and repairs involving hydraulic, electrical, suspension, brake, and air systems. You also estimate materials and coordinate parts.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical repairs and preventative fleet maintenance Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems Interpret electronic failure modes and initiate repairs Estimate repair times, materials, and requisition parts Complete emergency service calls and breakdown repairs
Requirements:
Red Seal certification as a Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic One to three years in a heavy equipment shop Three to four years as an apprentice Class 3 licence with air endorsement is an asset Strong written and verbal communication skills Apply your Red Seal expertise across fleet repairs, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and safety-focused service at Waste Control Service.
