Provide comprehensive recreation therapy services in Maple Creek, using critical thinking and communication skills within a client-centered care model.
The Recreation Therapist – Degree works at Southwest Integrated Health Facility within the Integrated Nursing Unit. This full-time regular position supports clients through therapeutic recreation services and collaborative health care. The work includes client and family centered care, professional standards, and Saskatchewan Health Authority values.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive recreation therapy services for clients Assess residents and patients with concentration and attention Plan and adjust programs for client or program needs Coordinate efforts with other health care team members Integrate ideas into a team treatment approach
Requirements:
Degree in Therapeutic Recreation Current CPR certification Critical thinking and communication skills Registration or eligibility with CTRA Ability to assist clients experiencing stress and role loss Apply recreation therapy expertise, assessment judgment, and collaborative practice to support clients at Southwest Integrated Health Facility.
