Build production Rust systems at UrbanLogiq in Vancouver, BC, using data pipelines and query infrastructure within a hybrid work model.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will extend data-intensive systems supporting UrbanLogiq’s Community Intelligence Platform. Your work will span storage layers, partner integrations, and Apache DataFusion. You will also provide technical leadership through implementation planning, scope negotiation, and developer mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Design and extend Rust ingestion pipelines, storage layers, and query infrastructure Build partner-facing integrations for timely data movement Develop technical requirements and own implementation plans Negotiate scope and deadlines with product teams Lead developers through reviews, pairing, and architecture discussions
Requirements:
Strong demonstrable expertise producing production Rust contributions At least five years of professional software engineering experience Experience building data-intensive systems involving performance and correctness Proven engineering leadership and mentoring ability Ability to complete a background check before employment Apply systems thinking, Rust expertise, and technical leadership to UrbanLogiq’s governed data platform in Vancouver.
