Longo's seeks a Bakery Assistant Department Manager to advance bakery leadership. Assist the Bakery Manager while guiding Team Members, supporting meetings, and maintaining productivity. The position combines customer service, inventory management, merchandising, scheduling, and food safety. Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and off-site events is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Motivate and mentor Bakery Team Members
- Support regular team meetings and training
- Handle Team Member and customer issues
- Merchandise, manage inventory, and schedule
- Uphold health, food safety, and loss prevention policies
Requirements:
- Minimum one year bakery department experience
- Solid bakery product knowledge
- Ability to decorate cakes and pastries
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and off-site events
