Research and Development Physicist Co-op Student

Apply MATLAB or Python skills in downtown Toronto as a Research and Development Physicist Co-op Student supporting multimodal imaging studies.

UHN’s Vitkin Lab seeks a university student for temporary full-time research at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. You will support in vivo FLASH radiotherapy studies, acquiring and analyzing OCT and 7T MRI data from tumour models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in vivo FLASH irradiation experiment design and execution
• Support animal preparation, handling, and monitoring
• Acquire OCT and 7T MRI imaging data
• Process imaging data using MATLAB and/or Python
• Prepare figures, presentations, records, and manuscript sections

Requirements:

• University study in physics or related program
• Research laboratory experience preferred
• Strong scientific communication and writing skills
• Excellent organization, detail orientation, and critical thinking
• MATLAB or Python proficiency is an asset

Support UHN biomedical research through imaging analysis, FLASH radiotherapy experiments, scientific writing, and careful laboratory documentation.
