With direct supervision from a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, this technician maintains Classes 1-5 and Class 7-8 equipment. Work includes chassis components, refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, air brakes, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. Electronic tools help identify malfunctions while road service supports safe equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintain chassis components on trucks and equipment
- Service refuse bodies and hydraulic, electrical control systems
- Maintain engines, air brakes, HVAC, suspension, drivetrains, steering
- Provide safe road service when necessary
- Identify malfunctions using varied electronic tools
Requirements:
- Valid 310T License and valid Driver's License
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree preferred
- Knowledge of Classes 1-5 and Class 7-8 trucks
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
