Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor at Barnet Beach

Take on a contract role as an Outdoor Recreation Stand Up Paddleboard Instructor at Barnet Beach. Deliver engaging, safe lessons to all ages while maintaining high safety standards. The Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is looking for an experienced SUP Instructor. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in outdoor recreation and hold Paddle Canada certifications. You will manage participants, ensure safety, and report incidents while fostering a supportive environment for learning.

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver paddleboarding instruction to diverse age groups
• Prepare programs and manage participant engagement
• Address safety concerns at the site
• Complete attendance and incident reports as required
• Maintain high customer service standards

Requirements:
• Minimum one year of experience in outdoor recreation
• Paddle Canada Instructor Course certification required
• Wilderness First Aid or equivalent certification required
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license preferred
