Join our Schools as an Education Assistant 2, focusing on supporting students with exceptional needs. Assist in academic settings and everyday situations under teacher guidance.
This role is essential for helping students develop specific skills while providing necessary support during unstructured times. Responsibilities include monitoring behavior, assisting with health tasks, and participating in student assessment activities, emphasizing a caring approach and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
• Support students during recess and lunch on campus
• Administer medication and monitor student conditions
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and events
• Record observations and participate in parent meetings
• Facilitate community access activities for students
Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 education required
• Six college-level courses related to child behavior
• At least one year of experience working with exceptional children
• Effective communication skills in English
• Experience with specific behavioral management techniques preferred Contribute to the educational success of students as an Education Assistant 2 in our dedicated Schools Department.
