Cambrian College’s Schools of Skills Training is seeking a Carpentry Technologist to enhance student experiences. This role involves planning, maintaining, and repairing lab facilities while providing specialized guidance. You will develop equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards, all while controlling inventory and budgets effectively.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and maintain carpentry lab facilities and systems
• Provide technical support for faculty and students
• Design training equipment based on student needs
• Evaluate and recommend purchases or repairs for equipment
• Uphold safety standards and model positive behaviors in class
Requirements:
• Certificate of Qualification as a 403A General Carpenter
• Minimum three years post-apprenticeship experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative problem-solving and teamwork abilities Utilize your carpentry expertise to inspire and guide students in their learning journey at Cambrian College.
