Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Loader Operator to join our Ready‑Mix Concrete plant team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a front‑end loader to move aggregate materials, maintain material stockpiles, and support overall plant operations. This position plays a key part in ensuring consistent, high‑quality production for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate a front‑end loader to transport aggregate materials to and from stockpiles, bins, and hoppers.
- Maintain accurate material blends to support daily concrete production.
- Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Assist with yard organization, inventory management, and housekeeping tasks.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with plant operators, drivers, and other team members.
- Support general plant operations as needed, including batching assistance or light labor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have own reliable transportation as shift start times do not match with current public transit schedules
- Previous experience operating heavy equipment, preferably a front‑end loader.
- Experience working in a Ready‑Mix Concrete or aggregate environment considered an asset.
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with daily equipment inspections.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and overtime when required.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to service requirements, equipment and operator limitations and safe operating procedures.
- Physically able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more)
