Support hospital drug distribution with sterile compounding and automated equipment at North York General in a full-time temporary internship. Work eight-hour shifts across days, evenings, and weekends.
As a Pharmacy Technician Intern in Pharmacy Services, you will support essential daily operations under Pharmacist, Technician, and Manager of Operations supervision. Duties include sterile and non-sterile compounding, barcoding, receiving, stock replenishment, automated equipment, and related activities. The role also supports teaching, learning, research, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support daily Pharmacy drug distribution and related services
- Complete sterile and non-sterile compounding activities
- Perform barcoding, receiving, stock checks, and replenishment
- Operate automated Pharmacy equipment as directed
- Follow health and safety policies and regulations
Requirements:
- Graduate of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program
- Currently registered with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Pursuing Registered Pharmacy Technician designation within twelve months
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical math and computer skills
- Effective written and verbal communication with attention to detail
