NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Established in 1979, Toro Aluminum has became a leader in the development and manufacturing of window walls and doors for high-rise condominiums, office buildings and hotels, across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

REPORTING

The Draftsperson reports directly to the CAD Manager at Toro Aluminum.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Produce accurate shop drawings usingAutoCAD/REVIT, in compliance with contract documents, project specifications, and company standards.
• Review and implementarchitectural revisions, ASIs, SKs, and engineer/client comments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure drawings comply withapplicable building codes and standards relevant to window wall systems.
• Support theengineering review and stamping process by addressing comments and updating drawings accordingly.
• Participate inBluebeam sessions and internal reviews as required.
• Assist withas-built drawings and updates based on site conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency inAutoCAD/Revit.
• Experience withwindow wall- 3+ years of experience
• Curtain wall, or façade systems experience considered as asset.
• Strong understanding ofshop drawing production and coordination workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and within a team.

Salary Range: $50,000- $100,000
