Become an Education Facilitator in Burlington's Extended Day Program for children 3.8 to 12 years old. This role emphasizes quality play-based learning and development.
As an Occasional Designated Early Childhood Educator, you will be tasked with creating enriching experiences for children before and after school across multiple Burlington locations. Emphasizing compliance with Ministry of Education guidelines, you'll focus on the best pedagogical practices, ensuring social and emotional growth in a safe environment. Cover Full Day Kindergarten as required.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and lead educational activities for varying age groups
• Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times
• Adhere to Child Care and Early Years Act regulations
• Set up and move equipment as needed in shared spaces
• Build strong relationships with families and the community
Requirements:
• Early Childhood Education Degree or Diploma required
• Active membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators
• Minimum age requirement of 18
• Certification in First Aid and CPR (Level C)
• Criminal Reference Check and health assessment in compliance with guidelines Support child development and learning in a collaborative environment with the Halton District School Board in Burlington.
