Junior Construction Estimator Hamilton LRT

Support Hamilton LRT estimating in Hamilton, Ontario, using tender analysis and quantity take-offs within Aecon’s energy infrastructure sector.

As an Estimator I, you will assist senior estimating and operations staff on the Hamilton LRT project. Your work will cover drawings, specifications, supplier pricing, subcontractor quotations, and tender submissions. You will also support project handover and post-award activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, addenda, and tender documents
• Perform quantity take-offs from applicable construction drawings
• Obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing for estimates
• Develop labour, equipment, material, rental, and subcontract costs
• Support accurate tender submissions and estimating procedures

Requirements:

• Ability to review construction tender documents for pricing
• Ability to complete quantity take-offs from drawings
• Ability to communicate with clients and consultants
• Ability to communicate with suppliers and subcontractors
• Ability to support RFP, RFQ, RFI, and prequalification submissions
