This position with Vancouver Coastal Health requires a dynamic Cardio Oncology Cardiologist ready to support a vibrant program that serves a wide catchment area. Candidates with additional expertise in Heart Failure are preferred. Academic involvement at the University of British Columbia is a key aspect, focusing on teaching and promoting Indigenous health and diversity within the medical community.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage patient care in both outpatient and inpatient environments
• Instruct and guide medical trainees through their education
• Engage in pioneering quality assurance projects
• Contribute to the development of the cardiology program
• Focus on equity initiatives in healthcare for Indigenous populations
Requirements:
• FRCPC designation in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
• Eligible for BC medical licensure
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Interest in Heart Failure specialization
• Advocate for equity and diversity in healthcare Make a difference in cardiac care while nurturing the next generation of medical professionals at Vancouver General Hospital.
