As a Medical Communications Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring effective ambulance deployment and rapid response to emergencies. Your work will involve shift rotations as determined by department demand, requiring alertness and quick decision-making. You'll be managing calls and data entry with urgency, highlighting the importance of your role in public health safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate ambulance requests across the service area
• Dispatch and manage requests for emergency services
• Communicate with the Flight Team regarding air ambulance logistics
• Ensure precise logging of information amidst high volumes
• Adapt to changing priorities in emergency situations
Requirements:
• Current Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certificate
• Basic and advanced life support certifications
• Medical terminology coursework completion
• Excellent Windows computing skills
• Knowledge of local road networks and medical facilities Bring your critical thinking and communication abilities to a frontline role in healthcare response.
