Build Ericsson 5G software in Ottawa using C/C++, real-time development, and low-level programming for high-performance embedded systems.
This junior developer role supports Ericsson’s L1 Software Development team within RCE RAN Performance. You will design, develop, and test Physical Layer baseband functions across Ericsson’s multi-core ASIC and cloud-based Radio Access Network products. The work includes wireless standards, Linux, Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, and cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and test L1 software components
- Implement Physical Layer baseband features
- Integrate algorithms and troubleshoot complex issues
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions
- Maintain test coverage for software changes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field
- Zero to four years of relevant professional experience
- One or more years with embedded software
- One or more years using C or C++
- Familiarity with Linux, wireless standards, and configuration tools
