The successful candidate will contribute to the Rivers Class Destroyer Program (RCDP) as a member of our Vector Product Integration, Test, and Evaluation team:

• Develop an IT verification and validation program for Command and Control (C2) products
• Develop an IT test and trial system for the scope of Lockheed Martin's procurement; including commissioning, onboard integration testing, dockside acceptance testing, sea acceptance testing, and operational testing and evaluation
• Support the planning and execution of activities leading to the initial and final acceptance of each Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) ship for Lockheed Martin's IT procurement scope
• Identify and resolve IT-level integration issues so that priority defects are corrected to meet the test schedule
• Identify and resolve system problem reports so that priority defects are corrected to meet test schedules
• Review and analyze test results and report findings, if applicable, for integration and operational testing
• Report to the Ship Test Team Lead
• Perform IT regression testing for all delivered versions of the command management system
• Coordinate with other specialized technical domain leads, including security, cybersecurity, and human systems integration, to ensure testing completeness
• Respond to issues identified on ships, including performing specific tests and finding corrective actions
• Support the configuration management of all combat systems installed on ships for the scope of Lockheed Martin's procurement
• Lead subsystem IT regression testing on delivered subsystems, providing recommendations for acceptance and subsequent deployment on ships.

Planning:

• Ensure combat system equipment is properly configured for each test
• Coordinate the test design team in data collection and analysis for summary reports, problem isolation, and resolution
• Ensure defects are logged using the problem reporting process
• Support client familiarization with all combat system equipment, maintenance, and operations
• Support ongoing management of ship schedules by understanding program usage priorities
• Work closely with other integrated product teams to effectively manage and coordinate build dates and testing.

Reporting:

• Report real-time to management on issues impacting planned test events
• Maintain current parameters for problem reports
• Attend daily meeting to report on major issues.

Required skills, abilities, and experience

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in computer science or a related engineering discipline and two years of experience, or a master's degree in a related engineering discipline
• Be willing to work according to the team schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed
• Ability to solve complex problems within a team
• High degree of initiative and autonomy
• Be able to obtain NATO Secret level security clearance.

Additional skills desired for the position

• Experience with integration and testing of various combat systems onboard ships
• Experience with IBM Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is considered an asset
• Experience with networks and networked tools is considered an asset
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is considered an asset
• Good knowledge of software development and testing
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft (MS) Office suite of tools
• Good knowledge of Linux
• White Hat certification
• A valid NATO Secret level security clearance is considered an asset.
