37.00 hourly / 35 hours per week* Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Early morning, Flexible hours, Morning, Night, On call, Day, Overtime required* Starts as soon as possible* vacancies: 3 vacanciesOverviewLanguages: EnglishEducation* Secondary (high) school graduation certificate* or equivalent experienceExperience3 years to less than 5 yearsOn siteWork must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.Work site environment* At heights* Dusty* NoisyWork setting* Commercial* Residential* Various locationsResponsibilitiesTasks* Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements* Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints* Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster* Clean and prepare surfaces* Cure freshly plastered surfaces* Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife* Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required* Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets* Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency* Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim* Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists* Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry* Prepare wall and ceiling layoutsAdditional informationWork conditions and physical capabilities* Bending, crouching, kneeling* Large workload* Physically demanding* Repetitive tasks* Standing for extended periods* WalkingWeight handling* Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)Own tools/equipment* Hard hat* Mask* Safety glasses/goggles* Steel-toed safety bootsPersonal suitability* Flexibility* Reliability* Team playerWho can apply for this job?You can apply if you are:* a Canadian citizen* a permanent resident of Canada* a temporary resident of Canada with a valid work permitDo not apply if you are not authorized to work in Canada.
