Operate industrial trucks for GFL Environmental at its Stevenage site in Ottawa, using safe driving and load-handling practices. This temporary role requires AZ or DZ licensing.
As an AZ Operator, you will drive combination, power vacuum, hydro excavation, box truck, roll-off, water blaster, and tractor-trailer units. The position involves equipment inspections, cargo handling, customer deliveries, and required documentation. Mechanical knowledge and tanker-hauling experience are relevant to the work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate varied industrial trucks and units
- Inspect vehicles, equipment, loads, and safety systems
- Secure cargo and complete loading and unloading
- Deliver products and paperwork to customers courteously
- Report defects, incidents, and delivery problems
Requirements:
- AZ or DZ licence with clean Driver's and CVOR abstracts
- Experience hauling tankers
- Ability to drive manual transmissions
- Mechanical knowledge and required documentation skills
- Ability to work irregular schedules and confined spaces
