This senior-level developer leads large-scale legacy SAS migration and decommissioning initiatives. You will interpret SAS programs, datasets, workflows, and analytical processes while designing maintainable Python applications and data pipelines. The work connects software development, technical governance, code quality, and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead SAS-to-Python migration and legacy system decommissioning initiatives
- Analyze requirements and design scalable, reliable technical solutions
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain Python applications
- Build Unix/Linux automation scripts and CRON-scheduled pipelines
- Conduct code reviews and guide developer implementation decisions
Requirements:
- Significant senior software development and technical leadership experience
- Strong Python, Anaconda, SAS, and SQL proficiency
- Experience modernizing complex SAS programs and analytical workflows
- Linux/Unix scripting and automated data processing experience
- Ability to collaborate remotely during CST hours
