Use strong C++ and browser-engine expertise to advance Firefox Storage Encryption Everywhere within the Gecko codebase.
This contract Staff Software Engineer supports the Firefox DOM LWS team. You will help complete Storage Encryption Everywhere through database work, Web Platform Tests, Gecko testing, and multithreaded debugging. The work includes implementation, review, specification questions, and release shepherding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Storage Encryption Everywhere in Gecko
- Migrate data between schemas and implement PBM storage
- Write Web Platform Tests and Gecko tests
- Address review feedback through upstream landing
- Fix correctness, performance issues, and regressions
Requirements:
- Strong C++ programming skills
- Substantial browser-engine experience, ideally Firefox or Gecko
- Substantial database experience
- Familiarity with web standards and Web Platform Tests
- Strong multithreaded debugging and optimization skills
