Business law expertise meets insurance innovation at Allstate Canada Group, seeking a Senior Legal Counsel for fully remote work across Canada. Guide regulated operations.
As Senior Legal Counsel, Business Law, you will collaborate across Allstate’s Law and Regulation Department. Your work spans corporate law, insurance products, regulatory compliance, advocacy, technology initiatives, intellectual property, and marketing. You will help business functions assess legal authority and act on emerging issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research laws, regulations, rules, and other legal authority
- Summarize legal developments and determine business impacts
- Track regulatory guidance, updates, and market trends
- Support technology and digital initiative adoption
- Review marketing, advertising, contests, and promotions
Requirements:
- Canadian law degree or equivalent education
- Law society membership in an Allstate operating province
- Five or more years in insurance or corporate law
- Experience with highly regulated business environments
- Strong property and casualty insurance knowledge
