Build a career in physical agricultural commodities through negotiation, relationship building, and results-driven commercial training at Grain St Laurent. This role is 100% on-site.
As a Junior Grain Trader, you will learn transactions from logistics through procurement and trading. You will coordinate shipments, negotiate freight, prospect suppliers, develop relationships, and identify buying opportunities. Over time, you will build customer and supplier networks while managing transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate shipments and negotiate freight during logistics training
- Learn transaction execution, shipping terms, pricing, and margins
- Prospect suppliers and develop a supplier network
- Negotiate prices and volumes while identifying available inventory
- Build customer relationships and manage transactions through delivery
Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial, competitive, and results-driven approach
- Comfort with prospecting and relationship building
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to decide and solve problems quickly
- Bilingual French and English for the business territory
Develop negotiation, logistics, procurement, and relationship-building skills while progressing toward agricultural commodities trading at Grain St Laurent.
