Lead software architecture and developer growth at iTel in a 100% remote Canada-wide environment, guiding secure, scalable business applications.
As Software Development Manager, you will lead and mentor developers while overseeing application design, integration, delivery, and maintenance. You will partner with Product Owners, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into maintainable technical solutions. The role combines hands-on technical credibility with people leadership and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop software developers through feedback and career growth
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions
- Guide architecture, design, development, integration, and maintenance
- Establish coding, testing, security, and documentation standards
- Coordinate deployments, production support, and critical issue resolution
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Minimum seven years of professional software development experience
- Minimum three years leading software development teams
- Experience managing initiatives and competing stakeholder priorities
- Knowledge of REST APIs, databases, CI/CD, cloud, and secure coding
