CAD $42,000/year | Full-Time | 44 paid hours/week About VERTEX VERTEX is an American-style rice bowl brand founded in Seoul, South Korea, in 2018. Starting with our first store in Itaewon, we have grown to approximately 40 locations across South Korea. We're now opening our first Canadian store in Toronto's King West neighbourhood, and we're looking for reliable, motivated individuals to join our opening team. Whether you have kitchen experience or are looking to learn, we're looking for people who take pride in their work, enjoy working with a team, and want to grow with the company.

What You'll Do
This is primarily a kitchen-based position. Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare ingredients and set up kitchen stations.
- Cook, assemble, and package rice bowls according to VERTEX recipes and standards.
- Maintain food quality, portion consistency, and efficient preparation times.
- Prepare takeout and delivery orders accurately.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
- Assist with inventory, ingredient storage, and stock rotation.
- Support store opening and closing procedures.
- Work closely with teammates during busy service periods.
- Assist with other store operations when needed. What We're Looking For

- Available for evening and weekend shifts.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada. Previous kitchen or food-service experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided. Compensation & Career Growth We believe employees should know how they can grow and what they can earn. Our full-time compensation structure is: L1 — Store Crew: CAD $42,000/year L2 — Senior Crew: CAD $46,000/year L3 — Shift Lead: CAD $50,000–$55,000/year These salaries are based on a 44-hour paid workweek. All new Store Crew members begin at L1. An initial performance and development review is planned after approximately 60–90 days. Advancement is based on demonstrated skills, reliability, leadership, performance, and business needs. Promotions and salary increases are not automatic. Beyond Shift Lead, high-performing employees may have opportunities to advance into Store Manager and future store leadership roles, with additional responsibilities and compensation. Work Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position.
- 44 paid hours per week.
- Store operating hours: 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, seven days a week.
- Rotating opening, mid, and closing shifts.
- Evening and weekend availability required.
