### Who you are
- 10+ years of professional experience building full-stack web or mobile products, including a track record of leading technical work at a scope beyond a single team
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Experience designing systems that held up at scale, and the judgment to know when not to build something
- Experience with mobile-first, responsive, iterative development
- A track record of writing maintainable, testable code you’re comfortable handing off to someone else
- Strong written and verbal communication: you can explain a technical tradeoff to a designer, a support lead, or an executive as easily as to another developer
- Comfort making progress on a problem before the spec is fully settled, adjusting as you learn more
- Day-to-day use of AI tools in your development workflow, not just occasional experimentation
- Nice to have: GraphQL, React Native, or SQL database experience. For this area, we also value: Experience with scheduling or calendar UIs, data-heavy front ends, offline-first or sync architectures, multi-tenant or enterprise platforms, workflow engines, or inventory and transactional systems ### What the job involves
- Core is the heart of the MaintainX CMMS: the work orders, planning and scheduling, inventory and parts, reporting, and asset hierarchy that frontline teams touch every day
- It is also where some of our newest investment is happening, including two newly formed teams building a Work Execution Platform and a rebuilt Technician Experience from scratch. If you want to work close to what customers use daily, and have a chance at green-field ownership, this is the place
- Teams You Might Join
- Planners: Planner and scheduler workflows, plus Operating Hours
- Inventory Management / Parts: Spare parts, purchase orders, forecasting and vendors
- Home / Reporting: The Overview screen, plus shared and scheduled reports
- Work Execution Platform: The work order primitives the product runs on: recurrence, assignment, calendar, procedures, automations and permits
- Technician
Experience:
GPS check-in, field UX and offline state for technicians in the field
- Enterprise Data Management: Global, multi-site platform capabilities, templates, asset hierarchy and location, and dynamic asset forms
- Set the technical direction for the workflows customers use every day, from scheduling and parts management to reporting
- Solve hard product problems: dense, data-heavy interfaces, large datasets, offline behaviour and multi-site scale
- On our newly formed teams, define architecture and engineering practices from the ground up
- Make complex workflows feel simple on desktop and mobile
- Lead the design and delivery of large, ambiguous projects end to end, from planning through production
- Partner directly with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering leadership to shape your team’s roadmap and influence the roadmaps of adjacent teams
- Own the long-term technical health of a domain: reliability, performance, and the parts of the codebase nobody notices until they break
- Drive architecture decisions and write the technical proposals others build against
- Mentor senior and staff engineers, and set the standard for code review on your team
- Raise the bar on tooling, testing, and delivery practices across teams, not just your own
- Our core stack is TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MySQL. Some teams use C# or Python. You don't need to already know every piece of it to apply. You'll land on a team of 5 to 10 people and take on-call rotation as part of the role. Within your first 6 months, you’ll own the technical direction of a domain or system outright ### Benefits
- Flexible time off
- Competitive salary and equity opportunities
- Training and development investments
- Comprehensive healthcare coverage
